South Coast Plaza

It rained all day so we went to South Coast Plaza to dry off. Olivia had a great time running amok. She bee-lined straight to the carousel.

Can you believe people pay $12 for a balloon?

We had some fine dining (NOT) at Rainforest Cafe. She thought it was an attraction at Disneyland!

No pictures of Camille as she was fast asleep as usual!

Tutu

Olivia's first ballet class is on Tuesday and I - I mean, she, is very excited. We were told to wear comfortable clothes to class, but I couldn't resist! Check out her new gear.

I really hope she enjoys the class, otherwise this will be her next Halloween costume!

Our Family Photographer

Olivia has found a new passion - photography. She's takes a picture, looks at it, and either says, "oh, good one," or "cute!" It's quite amusing. She knows how to turn the camera on, shoot the picture and press another button to view it. Surprisingly, she has taken a few good shots. By the way, the little miss is back in her big girl bed! whoohooo.

The Playmat

Life is pretty boring for a 10 week old - she sleeps, eats, poops and gets rudely awakened by a very loud older sister. So the colorful playmat is a welcome reprieve for her AND me!

She smiles, kicks and coos as soon as I turn the sun on. It's fun seeing her interact with the toys; her eyes bug out when she sees Pete the parakeet.

She's truly mesmerized.

Dear playmat, thank you for entertaining Camille and giving me a few minutes to pick up the mess that Olivia "The Hurricane" left behind.

Birthday Goodies

Here's Olivia cooking me some birthday brownies and cotton balls for my 35th birthday (yikes, that's full-fledged adult).

We have lots of fun with her kitchen, we usually come into her room and we pretend we're at a restaurant. She shakes our hand and says "nice meetchou" and then takes our order and she'll scream out "dinner time" when our food is ready. Photobucket

She's got a bunch of plastic food: chicken, egg, sandwich meat, strawberries, grapes, peas and potatoes that she keeps in her backpack of all places. You'll see that she also has a shopping cart in her room and she likes to take things from the pantry as she "shops." All that fun food, yet she prefers cooking with cotton balls! Photobucket

If you ask Olivia a question that requires thinking, she taps a finger against her chin as if she's really thinking about her response. By the way, she thinks that the sign that hangs on her door is a purse!

Tummy Time

Camille is almost 10 weeks old and has been doing great with tummy time. I remember Olivia fighting and screaming whenever we tried tummy time, so Camille's relaxed attitude was a pleasant surprise :)

Bye Bye Uncle

Michael is off today for Spring Training with the Florida Marlins again. We were lucky enough to have him with us for two whole months, the most I've seen him since I left for college. Olivia really enjoyed spending time with her uncle!

And it was nice that he was able to spend a lot of time with Camille as well. He's a pretty good babysitter - too bad he's gone ;)

Sisterly Love

I hope these two always love each other this much!

DISNEYLAND

We were recently at Downtown Disney and Olivia thought she was going to see Mickey and Minnie - she only went to the Disney store. Our official trip to Disneyland was a highly anticipated event!!! Luckily, Angela, my good friend from MBA school works as a marketing guru for Disney and she was able to get us in to the park. Thanks Ang!!!

Here we are on the tram, ready to go have lots of fun. The perks of living in So Cal is the beautiful 75 degree weather in mid-February!
Photobucket

We were so lucky to see Minnie as soon as we entered the park. We were a little worried that Olivia might freak out, but she didn't. She was so excited that she touched Minnie. She kept walking around saying that Minnie kissed her nose. But I've looked at this video a few times and I didn't see it happen :) Olivia obviously has a very active imagination.

Here they are in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Here she is in Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Olivia has sippy cups with the Disney Princesses on it and she knows the princess' names by heart. Her favorite is Princess Cinderella whom she calls Princess Ella. We didn't see any of the princesses that day though :(

There's a new shop called Bibbidy Bobbidy something...anyway, kids 3 and up get a fairy godmother and they get princess-ified; hair, makeup, nailpolish. It's pretty cool and I can't wait to do this with Olivia next year. Here we are in the shop trying on a princess minnie headband. This may be my favorite shot of Olivia at Disneyland.
Photobucket

OK, so I took Olivia on her very first ride....Snow White's SCARY Adventure. DUH, the name of the ride pretty much says it all. She was brave, but I may have traumatized her. It was a dark and spooky ride. No wonder there was NO line!!!

Daddy took her on the carousel ride and she was happy.

Meanwhile, Camille was a great trooper - fast asleep amid all the noise.
Photobucket

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was right next door so Daddy and Olivia braved that one. Olivia enjoyed the buggy while Daddy stood in line.
Photobucket

Apparently, it was another scary ride... Look at her spaced out eyes! "Get me outta here!"
Photobucket

We waited by the Mad Hatter shop while Daddy stood in the Dumbo line. Thanks daddy!!

Photobucket

And they're off. Olivia kept saying, "big elphant." She's so little that you can't see her in there. I wonder if she was able to see out!

"Big teeth mommy!"

Here we are at ToonTown.

I should've taken a video of her trying to lift this up. It was hilarious.

Adventureland. Olivia really enjoyed the Safari Ride! But then we took her on Pirates of the Carribean - not exactly fun for a 2 year old. Vincent said that she had a death grip on him the entire time. Camille was very content nursing the entire ride!
Photobucket

We went to Frontierland to try to see the Bear Critters show but apparently that closed down a while ago. Olivia really enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh ride though.
Photobucket

So much so that she went on it twice!
Photobucket

We took the train back to Main Street and ran into Minnie again! Although it's a blurry picture,, i like it because I'm actually in it too - can you spot me? You can see that Olivia was so excited but Camille was not as thrilled.
