Thanksgiving

Olivia was very excited on Thanksgiving because the weather was so nice! She also was counting down the hours to see her auntie Chrissy and uncle Bob. Here she is giving me some poses before taking Homer to the park for his morning walk. She decided to take Elmo along for the ride.

She just loves Homer - sometimes a little too much that he is scared of her. She used to only call him dog, but now she calls him by his name.

Time for the walk!

Mom made a nice Thanksgiving table.

Here's the placement Olivia painted at school. Too bad she only sat down for 4 minutes!

Country Bumpkin

Olivia stood still long enough for me to braid to pig tails. That along with her overalls and she looked liked a little mid-western girl.

More Tennis

Olivia had such a good time playing tennis that Daddy took her out again the following weekend.

The video that I took of her first lesson with daddy was too long to post, so here are a few short and sweet ones.

First Tennis Lesson

Daddy was so excited to buy Olivia her first tennis racket, she chose a Dora the Explorer racket! Vincent had an early morning lesson for an hour and we decided to just hang out by the courts until the lesson was over so that he could play with Olivia. We brought a coloring book and, yes, CANDY to keep her occupied. As soon as the student showed up and daddy shut the gate to the court Olivia started crying - she kept saying, "no, my daddy." It was so sad. Here she is mystified as to why daddy is playing with another girl.

Luckily, the hour flew by and Olivia was finally able to get on court.
Photobucket

She doesn't have very good skills yet.
Photobucket

Looks like the beginning of a nice serve.

Olivia was definitely more interested in running around the court which she did for about 15 minutes. She was worn out and had a good nap :) Tennis is definitely something that this girl will keep up! Another video was supposed to upload here but for some reason won't. I will try again later.

Halloween

We did Halloween with the Aaron girls this year. Honestly, I didn't think that Olivia would be that into it, but I knew that she would have fun with Aneliese and Shalimar. We carved pumpkins, had dinner and then made our way around their neighborhood for some good ole trick-or-treating! A big thanks to my hubby for wheeling me around so I didn't miss out!

Olivia was very excited to choose her "Puhple Puntin."

Here she is posing next to the pumpkin that daddy carved (it's a cat). Aneliese is dressed as Ariel and Shalimar who was pretty much forced and coerced into her bumble bee costume ;)

Here they are in front of Jenn's pumpkin.

I honestly thought Olivia would be scared and want to be carried, but she was a real trooper. As soon as she saw that people were doling out CANDY, she was game! She even walked right into people's homes! And she would stand there hoping for more! She was so proud, running up to me and showing me her pumpkin bag and yelling "mommy, CANNY."
Photobucket

We made it to about 10 homes and called it quits - but Olivia and Aneleise wanted more, so the daddy's took them out for a second round.

Here's a little video. I promise to try harder to take better videos of her talking and not staring off into space.

Goodbye 1 - Hello 2

I decided to take a few photos of Olivia's last night as a one year old. It was a really windy day and she got a little wind burn while playing outside at school. Check out those rosy cheeks.

Giving daddy some love.

All worked up before bedtime.

Finally in bed - but not quite ready to hit the hay.

Here she is waving goodbye to 1.

And now she's 2!!!! We dropped off some goodies at school for snack time and she enjoyed her friends singing to her (OK, the teachers!)

Grandma made spaghetti dinner. Here she is sucking up a noodle.

My first attempt at a video - it's kinda gross, but here it is. After a few bites she's "all done."

Strutting her stuff while wearing grandma's witch hat.

Another round of singing and cake!

Pictures From Our Favorite Teacher At Daycare

We've been so spoiled by Olivia's teacher, Turia, from the Toddler room. She would send us pictures a few times a week of what Olivia is up to at school. It was such a treat to get pictures while I was at work of how much fun Olivia was having at school. A couple weeks ago, Olivia fully transitioned into the "2's Room," for 2 year olds. It was quite an adjustment for Olivia - a few more kids and less teachers to go around. Olivia transitioned for 3 weeks. I guess Turia is transitioning me too since (thankfully) I'm still getting a few pictures from her:)

Here she is practicing her jumping skills.

With her best buddy, Evan. Thank goodness they're only a month apart and were able to transition together!

I have no idea what this is called, but it looks fun.

Checking out the big girl tricycles - this is a privilege for 2 year olds and up! We made sure to buy her a bike helmet that evening!
