Gingerbread House 2010

Last year I thought it would be fun to do a gingerbread house together. I was hugely pregnant and Olivia was not very interested in it. She was extremely exited this year when we brought the kit home.

We did it first thing the next morning.

It took a lot of willpower for her not to eat all the decorations!

We supplemented with some of her vitamin gummy bears :)

She took this job very seriously!

Camille and Grandpa's Birthday

She celebrated her first birthday with Grandpa who celebrated his 63rd. She got a princess ball from her sister.

Some stats on the birthday girl. She weighs 19 pounds, is in the 50th percentile for height and weight, 95% for head circumference :)

She loves to eat, she's very happy with food in each hand. She loves spaghetti, chicken and rice soup, dried blueberries and oreos - not particularly in that order. She knows how to say mama, more and uh-oh. She likes giving high fives. She laughs whenever Olivia laughs. She's a fighter; she will fight her sister for what she wants! She's kind of scared of the dog, Homer. She still cries like a banshee when she goes to bed but sleeps well in her crib. All in all, she's very happy and smiley - except when she's hungry!

It was about 80 degrees that day, so Olivia and Annaliese took advantage of the beautiful weather.

The Grinch

We went to the Wensley Christmas party and had a blast. It was a pajama party and there were a ton of kids there. Every kid got a personalized hat.

The Grinch came by to read the kids a story and they were all enthralled.

The parents were attentive...

and so was Camille...

Santa came by and stole the Grinch's thunder. He delivered presents to all the kids.

Olivia got a Barbie. I asked her later who she liked better. She said the Grinch was not nice because he didn't bring presents, but she liked Santa a whole lot!

School Pictures 11/2010

Here are Olivia's school pictures this year. I took pictures of the actual pictures.

Camille was actually sick this day and would be staying home with Vincent, but he brought her in to drop off Olivia so she was able to get some some pictures too. Couldn't tell she was sick with a fever and bronchiolitis :)

Matchy Matchy

I bought the girls matchy matchy dresses. Didn't realize the sticker was still on Olivia's dress until I downloaded the pictures!
As you can see, Camille is very fond of her big sister and always wants to be close to her ;)

Lemon Sucking

I love Camille's expression as she sucked the lemon.

The video is a bit bumpy since we were in the car...

She threw the lemon at me as soon as I put the camera down, ha ha.

Happy Birthday to my DAD

Because it's my dad's birthday today...I am posting lots of pictures of his favorite people for him to enjoy while on his vacation in BELIZE. Happy Birthday to the best dad in the world!

We had quite an adventure trying to see Santa. We went to Rogers Gardens but Santa wasn't arriving until a couple hours later. So we enjoyed the scenery and Olivia hammed it up for the camera.




Camille was more interested in the pebbles. She sucked on them until they were clean.








We were on a mission since Olivia REALLY wanted to see Santa, so we went across the street to Fashion Island. Camille enjoyed looking at the big ornaments. I like how you can see all of us on the big red ball.




Olivia and I went to the back of the house so that she could sneak a peak at Santa. She would wave at him when he looked at her.


We waited in line for about 20 minutes and realized that we would be in that line for at least 2 hours at the rate they were going, so we decided to go back to Roger's Gardens. But we had a little snack beforehand.


Back at Roger's Gardens. Waiting in line once again... We're a very efficient crew.


FINALLY, Santa time! Olivia was so excited. When we were next to see him she was jumping up and down and squealing and waving at him. After giving him a big hug, she jumped on his lap without any hesitation.




Sister got in on the action too.


I love the look Olivia's giving to Santa here, like she's trying to convince him through her smile how good she's been this year.

Here's a video of Olivia with Santa. She's asking Santa for nailpolish. Not very smart since we had just bought a 24 pack of mini nailpolish for her that morning. Another request is for silly bands!
