A Ballerina Party

We went to Lena's super fancy 6th birthday party at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach - what a gorgeous location! It was a ballerina party and Olivia got a chance to wear her cute little petticoat that grandma bought her. She's so cute!

There was a hair stylist who put the girls hair in buns or ponytails with ribbons. Check out Camille!

They even had about 10 cast members of the Nutcracker come by to do a few dances. Olivia was so impressed and enthralled.

Feeding Sister

Olivia is a fantastic big sister and she's usually eager to help. Here she is feeding Camille her rice cereal. Check out how little is getting in Camille's mouth! Olivia's also in her "why?" phase. Everything is a "why," it was annoying at first but now mainly amusing.

Hopefully her spoon-feeding skills will improve by the time we are in the old folks' home!

The Pedalist

Turia emailed me these pictures taken at school. Olivia hooked her bike onto Evan's bike. At first I thought she was lazy and maybe she didn't know how to pedal. Maybe she wanted to make Evan feel like a gentleman :)

We thought that she didn't know how to pedal, but she proved us wrong. She pedaled her way out the garage and down the street! She didn't want to stop.

Easter 2010

For the first time, the girls wore matching Easter dresses that Mary bought them. They looked so cute. Once I put the dress on Camille, Olivia said "matchy matchy sister."

It was a little breezy outside so Olivia put on the robe that her mami and papi from France gave her.

A Berry Nice Day

We visited Tanaka Farms in Irvine for a strawberry picking tour. We weren't sure what to expect but we had such a blast.

Here are the girls waiting for our tour to start. We went early on Easter Sunday so the farm was basically empty. We went on a semi-private tour with another family with two girls the same ages as Olivia and Camille.

We were driven around the 30 acre farm by tractor and we stopped at different areas to sample the delicious produce (snap peas, bok choy, carrots, celery, onions, spinach). Olivia ate so many vegetables that it was totally worth the price of admission. Since it was an organic farm, we could eat the produce straight from the ground. Olivia enjoying bok choy.

She loved the maui onions the best!
Photobucket

Carrots. Wow, organic really does taste better and so does produce taken at it's peak!
Photobucket

Camille is wondering how she can eat this carrot without teeth.
Photobucket

Lettuce. What a beautiful farm.

And now the fun part - strawberry picking. We got to fill up two containers of strawberries and also eat as many strawberries as we wanted on the farm! Woohoo.
