Easter For Real

Photobucket
Here she is with Daddy modeling her new Easter dress. So pretty.

Photobucket
After much anticipation, the egg hunt is finally on!

Photobucket
We had been hiding the eggs around the house and backyard all week in preparation for the big event.

Photobucket
Olivia knew exactly what to do.

Photobucket
The girl was on a mission! She didn't realize that she was the only one hunting for eggs and that no one else was going to take them from her. Ha.

Photobucket
When the basket got too heavy she got smart and set it down and brought the eggs to it! Overall she had a super fun Easter day and I'm sure she's looking forward to next year.

Easter Eggs and Boobs

Photobucket

Olivia got all gussied up the day before Easter. Here she is making sure her skin remains soft and youthful!

Photobucket

This is a typical sight by the gate. She's always wanting to go where she's not allowed ;)

Photobucket

The face of utter frustration.

Photobucket

Here's the little miss after a shopping trip to Ralphs where I bought the goods for MONKEY BREAD. What a delicious invention! Of course, she didn't want to sit in the kid's seat.

Photobucket
Here she is at Grandma's house getting ready to color eggs.

Photobucket
She thought it was so fun. And when she didn't think we were looking, she'd dip her fingers in the dye and taste it.

Photobucket

Photobucket
This is where it gets a bit disturbing...we stuck plastic eggs in her dress and, voila, Olivia is a size 15 C!

Photobucket
Olivia copping a feel :)

The Easter Bunny

Olivia's Fairy Godmother and fairy godmother in-training wanted to have a shopping day to pick out an Easter dress for the little miss. She's such a lucky little girl!

Photobucket
Olivia and daddy by the fountain.

Photobucket
No trip to the mall is complete without a carousel ride.

Photobucket
We made it to the Easter Bunny and she absolutely was not going to sit on his lap. She was OK waving to him, but she flipped out as soon as he touched her back. They would only let me take one picture, so this is the only one we have! At least it's a funny one.

Photobucket
The gazebo that housed the Easter Bunny was surrounded by beautiful flowers. Olivia enjoyed destroying some of those flowers.

Photobucket
Here she is with Mary and Lillian. The sun was just right for this glowy shot. The day was a success; we ate Pinkberry, saw the Bunny, rode the carousel, and Mary found Olivia's most perfect Easter dress! Thank you!!!

Ear Infections Be-GONE

Olivia has had only three ear infections so far, but they have been consecutive infections and the poor girl cannot get rid of them. The ENT advised us that it would be best to for her to have ear tubes. That was a surprising and scary since they would have to put her under for the proceedure, but after a hearing test confirmed that she was not hearing everything and that her ear drum movement was minimal because of all the fluid behind her ear, we didn't hesitate with making the appointment.

Photobucket
I was a little concerned about how cranky she would be without her morning bottle, but luckily we were scheduled for the 7am surgery and Olivia was pretty interested at her new surroundings. Here she is a few minutes after drinking the sedative. A big man nurse took her away and I thought she would scream but she was as cool as a cucumber. I sat down to flip through a magazine and just as I was halfway through reading about Melissa Rycroft's (The Bachelor's dumped fiance) triumph through heartbreak story, the doctor came and informed me that the proceedure was done!

Photobucket
She woke up and was extremely loopy, her eyes kept rolling back. It was really funny.

Cheep Cheep - the Remix

I shot an Easter shoot with my friend and mentor, Kamee. She had the awesome idea of brining in live chicks that were just two days hatched! They were so cute!!! Check out Kamee's blog for more shots. Kam, thanks for letting me tag along.

Photobucket
Here's little Lena enjoying her new friends.

Kamee in action!

Photobucket
Check out the chick on Lena's mom's belly.

Photobucket
Sandra was so sweet and she's expecting a little boy next. I'm sure he'll be just as cute as his big sister!

My 100th Post - This Calls for Pigtails!

Wow, I've been blogging since September and this is my 100th post. Whoo hoo. To mark this very cool feat, I am posting pictures of Olivia's newest fashion look - pigtails.

Photobucket
It's the newest rage at our house when I can get her to keep still! She had just finished enjoying her favorite after-school snack, blueberries. Check out the blueberry drool.

Photobucket
I put a flower behind my ear and she tried to do the same, although she didn't quite get it in the right spot. This can't be helping with all the ear infections!

Photobucket
We were coming back in the house and she decided she wasn't quite done playing outside. Here she is scooting back down the step!

Phoenix Riley

We finally got to visit the newest member of the clan...Phoenix. He's my cousin Chrissy's baby. He's one month old in these pictures and he's just so cute. Olivia didn't quite know what to do since she's used to seeing older babies at daycare. She just stared at him and cried for her momma when I even attempted to hold him!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Here's my attempt at playing with texture. Please leave me a comment on the comment line of the post to let me know what you think. Personally, I think it looks a little dirty, but I guess it's all the rage with some photographers.

Photobucket
I love baby feet! I added a little texture to this one too. Does anyone likey-like the textures or should I just stick with the clean shots?

Photobucket
Olivia and Phoenix. 17 months vs. 1 month. Funny how their big toes are parted the same! Nanoo Nanoo.

More Fun at Berkeley

Photobucket
We went to the Marina and enjoyed the view of San Francisco. It was such a cold and windy day that Olivia was forced to dress in many layers. Here's Grandpa keeping Olivia warm but she wanted none of it - she wanted to run wild!

Photobucket
We had to get to campus early to deliver Michael's lunch before his game, so we took the opportunity to explore the campus. The old buildings are great!

Photobucket

Photobucket
I love pictures on steps. Here she is on the steps to the big tower (I forget the name - Sather?) It's 27 stories high and the elevator ride was looong! I can't believe I didn't run out of air in there.

Photobucket
Creepy looking gnarled trees by the entrance of the tower.

Photobucket
Knowing how high we were, this picture really makes my stomach do a flip. I can't believe we left her up there for one second!

Photobucket
In front of the Irish Pub/Restaurant for Uncle Michael's birthday.

Photobucket
The next day (yes, Olivia has other clothes besides that striped sweater!) She's in front of the nice blue gates to the baseball field.

Photobucket
We took a break from baseball and walked through the Eucalyptus Forest. A group of Japanese tourists came by around the same time and a few of them lined up to take pictures with Olivia. Peace signs were flashed as the pictures were taken. Olivia just stared at them.
